Yes it does - i cycled over yesterday and not having to park a car means i can view from the factory side then along and up onto the canal and view the shoreline for waders from above. I then moved along and dropped down to the John’s Lane tunnel to circuit Sheepwash which although quiet held...

It’s a sign of the times that you are ‘patch’ working the ‘Wash again Geoff;) With The Goldfish Bowl closed i suspect there will be more of this once common activity - i thought your suggestion of a webcam down there was a novel one👍🏻 All the best - Laurie:t:

‘No Hirundines seen’..... I could post that quote on every thread of the sites that i visit locally. I have visited Fens Pools for 5 consecutive mornings with not a single record of a Swallow or Martin spp. My brother went to Sandwell Valley on Saturday afternoon, perfect weather for hawking...

Popped in en-route to Sandwell Valley. The place is finally receiving a bit of woodland management and not before time imo:t: A patchwork of coppice areas will give it a range of regrowth that should benefit the shrub layer but i would have liked to have seen the cut material left as habitat...

A month since the last post..... Bumped into Hughie King ystda and in the absence of anything of note we indulged in what birders do when in that situation - we talked of 'what's about' and previous ticks! The Ruddy Duck aka 'Lonesome Dove' finally seems to have disappeared, i think i last saw...

Does anybody visit these days? An hour or so down there with a circuit of the main pool only. A couple of singing Reed Warblers and a Chiffchaff. Lots of Herons but not as many Little Grebes as during the breeding season last year? A good range of flowers out with lots of vetches - i picked...

    sheepwash urban park

Popped in for an hour or so on Sunday - no other birders seen but a worthwhile visit on a very pleasant, Spring-like, day..... To my surprise, having heard a distinct Raven cackle, there was a bird busily dismantling an old nest/drey and flying off to one of the Pylons. It's smaller swarthy...

    sheepwash urban park

Had an hour or so there ystda - no waders but i don't expect any to hang around on the weekend, particularly Sunday, as the site does recieve visitors. 4 spp of warbler including 3 singing Reed, 3 clutches of Canada Goose and their Sulphur-coloured offspring. Rattlechain;) Held an impressive...
