As promised Baggie. A couple of scoped images from yesterday. The Gossander appeared as I headed back to the car.

Baggie, If you post your planned letter I'm sure a few of us will follow it up with similar ones. Perhaps a group approach might acknowledge the issue. Good work.

Dropped in at lunch today. Highlights :- Normal flock of Goosander but difficult to count as they were very spread out on both pools. 5 Grey Herons perched up. A few Herrings, 5 Little Grebe, Pochard and a rather nice Greater Spotted Woodpecker on the path back to the car park. (A first for me...

Managed a quick visit at lunchtime today. Quite enjoyed it except the local dog walkers letting their local hounds patrol the area off the lead. I always find a dog off the lead loves a birder with a scope ! Highlights were 5 Goosander (1 Drake), 1 Grey Wagtail and 2 Little Grebe.

Hi Chaps, I work over 5 mins away in the car but parking always puts me off down there. Wouldn't mind exploring it on the odd lunchtime. Was type of place is it - lakes, paths, rough terrain ? Is there a circular walk you can do ? Thanks
