    Good to hear you're out and about again. I've missed your reports and esp the photographs. That solar powered monitoring thing has been there a couple of weeks but I haven't a clue what its for.     Lower Bittell water level is being dropped opening up the shoreline. Last time they did this we got a wintering Green Sandpiper. Not a lot showing few Shoveler Pochard and Tufted.     Excellent shot of a pellet being coughed up. Like birds of prey they disgorge bones and fur, probably vole fur as that seems its favourite prey.

    Great Grey Shrike Superb bird to have locally. distant views today better views yesterday even blood on its beak after caching a vole. Looks like a first winter with white tipped greater coverts making wing bar . Fantastic bird last saw one at Bittell 1974. Lets hope it stays

    Superb shots of an increasingly rare bird that hasnt yet been reported widely in the country let alone setting up territories. Just shows there are birds out there not just excellent photos but perfect patchwork knowing the potential sites and putting the time in.

    Pair of Peregrine on the deck Excellent find I have seen one perched on the shoreline of the Upper Reser years ago. Its often the view you get of Peregrine at Slimbridge miles out on the Dumbles perched on the saltmarsh.
