I too get the suggestion of a forked tail and slightly paler head along with four of the usual 5 flexible fingers (primaries) on the left wing. Which I would think to be a Red Kite.

Brian There was nothing showing when I commuted through and stopped yesterday at C1600. Unfortunately, 100m North of the Forest roundabout (Jct 1 M42) is actually classed as Lickey End. But I suppose we'd better stick to "Near Marlbrook"!

Keith Brian Stretch is the most recently retired Worcestershire Recorder... He goes by a forum membership name of Brian Stretch. Seriously though, he maintains http://www.worcesterbirdingnews.co.uk/ and http://www.worcesterbirding.co.uk/. A lot of us send our sightings to Brian by text who we...

Thanks Mike. Whilst trying not to instigate a suppression/non-suppression debate. "...you're not supposed to broadcast news of any bird sightings..." Why do people do this? Is it to maintain site privacy/environmental sensitivity? To protect breeding birds? In this case [Bittell] is it the fact...

Craig (and others). I have had a play with a tighter cropped Bing Map. Please see attached map. Am I right in assuming that Craig's lower Red Circle is the 'bends area' which has a reputation of being prone to car contents theft? Is the upper Black Circle the 'Reservoir Wall' that folk refer too?

Whilst Bittell is very close to my home, it remains an unknown entity to me because of the need for exclusive membership which (it has been said) is somewhat difficult to secure. As I understand it, there are places that Joe Public can access but I've never had the rules nor how to go about...
