    Great sightings Keith. I do look forward to Feckenham again. Hopefully we will be back for the warblers and kingfishers in the spring!

    Aeshna said if it is not near chalk it will be a narrow-boarded 5 spot burnet - I think this must be the case as I do not associate the area with chalk - anyone advise me?

    Great visit today - although we did get wet! Highlights were 6 little egrets at Upper. Very close encounter with a red kite by the alpacas. Lots of juvenile swallows feeding over the canal. Lots of wagtails grey and pied. I think this is a 5 spot burnet, I have put it on the ID forum.

    Really sorry to hear this Keith. In terms of birding I have only been walking the River Cole route in Birmingham and had a couple of trips to Coney Meadow and the towpath there. Hope to be more adventurous soon. Take care Julie

    Thanks Keith We’ll follow your advice - we always park in the village car park at Feckenham and walk - hopefully we’ll be seeing the kingfishers soon :)

    Hi all - still got fingers crossed for Feckenham soon Keith! Could you let me know where is the best place to park I aim to make my first trip on Saturday :)
