    Bittell Reservoirs and Hopwood area

    1 Redshank and 1 Ringed Plover on Upper this afternoon. Other than this, the reservoirs looking quiet at the moment. LRP's and Common Sands look to have moved on, whilst only 2 Lapwing were dotted around the shores. Sparrowhawk over.

    First pic makes it seem like a completely different bird imo, more like a ruff/redshank kind with that longish neck, and the other three similar to the birds you suggested with the down curved bills.

    Interesting Keith, always difficult to tell from that distance. There was a redshank about yesterday, but not suggesting that's the bird you've photographed. Personally I don't think it's a Dunlin due to its colouring on the underside, but would have had to see the bird in a scope to confirm its...

    Upper 7:30-8:30. Avocet (2) Common sand (6) Green sand (3) LRP (2). Avocets far north corner, scope needed as usual.

    Hi all! Water levels dropped at Upper as mentioned by JoshT01. Today held 10 Barnacle Geese mixed in with 30 Canada Geese. Lots of gulls including 2 Mediterranean Gulls and 2 Yellow-Legged Gulls. Also managed a handful of LRP, lots of lapwing, common sandpiper, 2 oystercatcher and 2 Dunlin...
