I generally steer clear of Speyside during April/May so I have not seen any of the events first hand. What did the reckless disturbance entail?

You can read more about photographing the eagles on this article http://www.ebirder.net/Pages/wteguide.aspx Essentially a private charter you are paying for every seat on the boat. If no-one else has gone out early then you have as much chance on the regular boat. Also you need to find out if...

It was -8 and snowing today in the Northern Corries. Not enough to to open the ski lifts! A reminder though that Ptarmigan country is still a risky place if not well prepared. Sent via Google mobile

A juvenile White Tailed Eagle has been seen over Findhorn and the A9. Worryingly it's now in the Moy area (high levels of raptor persecution), but it is worth keeping an eye out for if coming this way.

There are clear signs at the site now I have read where it is. I wasn't trying to defend the guy (I don't know him). I detest birders (and photographers, dog walkers etc) belief that they decide to think that notices and guidance doesn't apply to them.

I've now read the guys blog as I asnwered via mobile yesterday, and he does mention in it that he recommended to other birders to visit Loch G for Capercaillie. Many years ago I did pretty similar to what he did without knowing much better or thinking I was doing any harm. So I am reluctant to...
