    Birding in Worcestershire

    On Friday I had my first Spotted Flycatcher of the year in the quite surprising surrounds of Burlish Top, near Stourport-On-Severn. Needless to say there was no sign at lunchtime today so presumably a passage bird. Good little nature reserve this, with plenty to see at this time of year.

    Last night I finally had my first Ring Ouzel of the year on Walton Hill. A single female was present between 19:20 and 19:45 at least at SO 94219 79367. Take the Worcestershire Way path left of the farm at the top through 2 stiles to view the first sloping field. The bird was quite mobile...
