    Red kite over the chase this morning. Also two guys reported seeing a male Hen Harrier over Sherbrook Valley this morning around 8.30 am but I didn't see it for myself???

    Had a good walk around the area this morning and didn't see the Hen Harrier or Shrike this morning.

    Just called into Wolseley center to pick up some bird seed and noticed on the sighting board that a lesser spotted woodpecker had been seen today. I didn't have time to look myself but wondered if anybody else has heard about this??

    Had a walk around Doxey also late afternoon and no sign of the spoonbill. Sedge warblers, willow warblers, blackcaps, chiffchaff, goldfinches & reed buntings were showing well. A cormorant came in to the trees by the metal hide as I was leaving.

    Cannock Chase This morning at Cannock Chase met up with Neil. Saw approx 50+ waxwings feeding on the berries and also the heather tops. Great sight to watch.
