    I had pied fly about three weeks ago ... 2 males and to my mind they where still waiting for the females to arrive. I cant imagine the young have fledged yet. Yes it was a cracking morning with plenty of bird activity. Jon

    I did know the main lake was warks but i wouldnt say i'm that clued up on the exact border locations... but I know a man that does ;)

    I found the LT Duck at Dosthill and when i put it out to birdguides I stated "Dosthill main lake Warks" and ive just checked it came through as Warks... cant coment on later reports. Jon

    Nothing much of note at croxall, little egrets and kingfisher was the best i seen. Whitemoor had egret and loads of mipits knocking around, c30 pochard with one very strange looking pochard. it was a pochard in every way except colour. Male with a white back not grey, the head neck and the rest...

    I had the Shrike this morning at last (my eight visit) I picked it up in the birch trees in the valley behind the shooting butts, from there it moved over towards the quarry and was picked up again by another birder. Jon
