Ruff it will have to be Andrew, I was finishing a coffee in the visitor centre before the drive home and 20 minutes previous there was probably 6 experienced birders in there who would have known them no problem. Such is life ;) -

Fowlsheugh With the AWPR open now it's about a 20 minute drive to Fowlsheugh from Westhill. A pleasant sunny morning but still a bit on the chilly side, all the usual suspects on show incl 4 Puffins,(shame about the smell) and a pair of Stonechat below the car park, may have been fledglings... -

Westhill, Bullfinch Doesn't get much easier than this, view from my armchair, 3, possibly 4 Bullfinch on Wellgrove Road in trees between Fraser & Henderson Drive. Been here most of the week on and off feeding on the new buds. Jim -

Loch of Skene area, a nice flock of finches round the back of the loch, advised to me whilst down the loch yesterday and still there about 2 hours later so may still be around today, circa 50-100 including Chaffinch, Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting, Brambling, a few Tree Sparrow around as well. NJ... -

Just a couple on noted birds during a day with the grand-children. My first Osprey sighting of the year, 0915 over the Raemoir fishery, seen from the car. A Red-legged Partridge around Milton of Cullerlie area, Couper's Road not far from Flora's. Is this quite a common bird around here ? A... -

Loch of Skene Pretty quiet last night on the loch, plenty of Sand Martins hawking over the water, all the usual suspects around, including this Grey Wagtail and in the fading light on the field to the south a small flock of 12 Greylag Geese with 3 Barnacle Geese. 2 of the Barnacles flew across... -

Tried a new farm track out by Carnie roundabout area on Sunday evening, usual finches, tits swallows etc. couple of buzzards and I think these are Spotted Flycatcher, an adult feeding a juvenile, certainly behaving like one, Jim. -

Loch of Skene After putting one up for id at Loch Mallachie, look what turns up at Loch of Skene this evening. Apart from the Sandpiper nothing much new, circa 6 Swallow and a small flock of Sand Martin over the South side Jim. -
