    Thanks for the list Dave,on the pectoral sandpiper, how many birds were there for that record? had a couple of hours yesterday for the whinchat, but it illuded me too! A shame about the badger, had wondered what the smell was coming from.

    Popped down again yesterday hoping to catch up with the whinchat, gave it 3 hours at the mound and no sign. 4 Lesser Black Blacked Gulls (all adults) were on the main pool for about 2 hours then left. 4 Goosander flew in onto the main pool.     Had a walk down the lane this afternoon. Fairly quiet, roughly the same number of wildfowl. Around 100 black headed gulls and a sedge warbler to the left of the hide, must remember to get the code for next time.

    This evening, 1 Grasshopper warbler (maybe a 2nd but not 100% sure), 1 Hobby, 1 Kestrel, c160 Lapwing, the greylags came in just as it was turning dark, as did 40 or so canada geese.     Hi dave, im pretty sure there was 1 juvenile, but cant be 100%, One bird flew across, causing another 1 to fly out, also they were calling to each other once they had landed. I put c4 as i deffinately saw 3 birds, and there was another bird but im not sure if it was from the same 3 or seperate.

    Hi Clive, yes sure it was a reed warbler, it was in the area to the right hand side of the hide, but was only heard and not seen. Where did the terns breed at carsington, forgot about them being there.

    Spot Fly Hi Dave, my brother popped down to wyver this evening around 20:45 and had a Spotted Flycatcher in the tree to the left of the train lights and signals, stayed around the area, and was watched for around 10 minutes or so.
