    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    the last week or so has seen our first nuthatch appear on the peanut feeder for about 5 minutes, a juvenile willow warbler give me the runaround for a minute before it disappeared, a revisit from the sparrowhawk, and the resturn of 3 siskins. as for greenfinch being dominant we don't have them...

    the paper you mention would have more scientific merit were it used as toilet paper. it has equivalent scientific foundation as meink kampf does on judaism. well after another impromptu week in the hospital got out last night and had a juvenile willow warbler in the garden today. :t:

    the last couple of days have provided us with new blackbirds 3 fledglings, a young robin a flock of goldfinch and siskins 4 of the siskins were young plus 2 adults. and a couple of the goldfinch were young ones too on the downside we lost our first sparrow to a sparrowhawk attack yesterday...

    another addition to the list of new fledglings, our robins dissappeared at the end of march as usual but today we've had a visit from a young one.

    we had a tawny owl fly past the front of the house at 4am this morning again, presumably the one that made my first year tick for this year at shortly after 2am on new years day when i last saw it fly past the window

    got abit silly earlier, either 14 or 15 total blue and coal tits in the garden at the same time, they were all over the place. only 4 of them adult. plus the first woodpigeon youngster of the year.

    this mornings crop of newly fledged balls of cuteness were 7 house sparrows 3 blue tits 1 coaltit 2 goldfinch all being fed by various parents

    it's gone mental, 7 new house sparrows, the aforementioned backbird, 1 juvenile coaltit, and 1 juvenile goldfinch all been in this morning and all new arrivals today

    i can hear a buzzard mewing out there at the mo, can't see it at all but it's been calling on and off for a while so must beup there somewhere. there's one already on the garden list, but this is the first time i have ever sat in the living room and heard one call in my life :t:

    so far this morning since 4:15 1 wood pigeon 6 pigeons 9 house sparrows, 2 of them juvenile 2 jackdaws 1 magpie and a backbird

    cheers bongo. well absolutely no sign of the great tits at all so looks like i missed em fledge, bugger, just had a juvenile starling in the garden so there's some young uns still around. will just have to hope for a few second broods and see how we go

    that stomach bug that got me fired from your place turned out to be chrones disease in the end mate, it put me in hospital for the week. now i'm hoping for something really nice in the garden, did get a pic of a holly blue butterfly on an ivy leaf about 3 foot from the front window yesterday...

    it does indeed, i'm praying i've not missed a whole family of great tit chicks fledge from a nest box down the bottom of the garden too. as there's been no sign of either parent at all today, but i did hear the male calling earlier from not far away. the suspense is getting to me

    i'm not now thankfully i got out at 2pm today just had a bit of a bad week the first thing i did after walking through the front door was to put some seed out on the birdtable, the dunnock turned up and life became good again

    they're all in opus :t: just seen my first bird for a week, it was a dunnock. only other things i've seen in the last 7 days was a flock of pigeons through the hospital window. the dunnock really cheered me up
