    For once the nyger seed is being eaten rapidly. The change of location of the feeder seems to have worked wonders. 5 Siskins on it today along with 4 Goldfinch. Earlier in the week we had a Stock Dove, GSW and the Nuthatches are visiting very regularly.

    Looked out the kitchen window this morning and chuffed to see the Greenfinch back. Then a bit of colour caught my eye. Male and female Bully also present. Hopefully the start to a good day’s birding. 🤞

    Working from home today and the garden was full of common birds. Nuthatch, 3 Jays, Dunnocks. Highlight was the first Greenfinch in the garden of the year (unfortunately very scarce here now) and the male Siskin back.     Put some nyger seed up in the week. Good to have a male Siskin on it yesterday. Pair of Nuthatch in the garden and a couple of Red Kites over a few days ago.

    Treecreeper and Sparrowhawk in the garden today. Jays are regular visitors at the moment along with good numbers of Long-tailed Tits. Song Thrush and Stock Dove have also been singing away recently. Rich

    Had a real flurry of activity around the feeders this afternoon. Double figures of Blue Tits. Long-tailed Tits, Great Tits, Nuthatch, Coal Tita and, best of all, our first Greenfinch in the garden for c2 years. A handsome male. Rich

    Was in a Teams meeting yesterday afternoon in the conservatory. Sparrowhawk returned a further twice. Successful once with a Great Tit. Absolutely stunning male. Incredibly agile.

    Sparrowhawk took one of the Tits off the feeders this morning. Male and Female Great Spotted Woodpecker along with Nuthatches continue to visit. Yesterday there was a Grey Wagtail on one of the neighbours rooves and 3 Pied Wagtails on the others.

    8 Goldfinch is a good number for our garden. Had a ChiffChaff knocking around last week as well. Have stopped putting fat balls out at the moment as the debris was attracting a few rats.
