    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    I have been here in Turkey for the last three weeks. Highlights upto now are a single Sombre Tit, Woodchat Shrike the rest have been the usual species, although not had the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker as yet. Alpine Swift and Red-rumped swallow in good numbers.

    Five Common Gull and Yellow-legged Gull 200 yards away on School field/ playground fighting for kids scraps with the usual gulls.

    Goldcrest and Common Gull new for the year takes me upto 32. Lesser Redpoll and Siskin still coming now and again

    Single Lesser Redpoll in the small Siskin flock and a Wren. Just around the corner are a few Common Gulls but they havenโ€™t flown this way yet. I have had them sat on my roof in years past. Still missing some easy species for this years listโ€ฆ.. Thrushes, Nuthatch, GSW etc

    Resident in Poynton Pool coppice now. I had 16 flyover the nearby Poynton High school playing fields a month ago, but I get upto 6 most days either in the garden trees or flying back and forth over our estate

    Snow has arrived this morning in East Cheshire. Five Siskin, a single Redwing, plenty of Rooks looking very menacing like an Alfred Hitchcock scene and a Ring-necked Parakeet looking out of place in the snow laden tree

    Incredible amount of Carrion Crows gathering overhead and in the trees, more than I have ever seen around here 100+

    Two male Bullfinch feeding on the ground this morning. Nothing else out of the ordinary last few days..... RNP still visiting neighbors gardens and relaxing in my trees

    Great to see this thread has good recent activity ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Song Thush, Wren, Goldcrest are recent visitors, still getting upto 5 Ring-necked Parakeets visiting the trees between feeding from a neighbouring garden. Tends to be afternoons only

    Only an hour on the balcony this evening Middle Spotted Woodpecker, two Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in the tree next to the balcony. The Black Redstart have now arrived and I had a pair fly catching, again from the tree next to the balcony. Syrian Woodpecker eventually got jealous and saw off...

    Been away for a few days but now back on the balcony in Yesiluzumlu. This morning was quite active and noisy with the usuals but good numbers of Blackcap and Blue Tits. Spotted Flycatcher, Chiffchaff and a female Common Redstart (as opposed to the Black Redstart that have not arrived up here...

    Fairly quiet around the garden today. Residents are busy enough but only Alpine Swift (40+), Siskin, a few Lesser Whitethroat and lots of Blackcaps, also heard a Green Woodpecker

    Lots going on here in East Cheshire Ring-necked Parakeet sat noisily on top of the Sycamore. Raven, 60 Pink Legs Geese, a lot of Redwings over. Goldcrest chasing a Chiffchaff out of the conifers, LTTs and Pied Wagtail A few more days then back to SW Turkey for a few weeks
