    The two Great White Egrets came into Burton Mere wetlands this evening to roost separately, flying directly into the trees, along with at least 128 Little Egrets (still coming in as I left). Also saw the juv Marsh Harrier from Decca Pools around 1530.

    Me and Mrs Blackduck had a large raptor between Jodrell and Chelford around 1745 Friday evening, I was driving so no certainty, but large white patches under and a cranked wing

    The Diver at Astbury was certainly showing fishing line caught in the left side of its gape at 1030 this morning, and seemed to be shaking its head fron side to side more than usual, perhaps in an attempt to dislodge it. By 1100 it (the line) seemed to have gone, but the bird was further away...

    Report from yesterday - no sign of Firecrest in Delamere, spent over two hours looking. And the Scaup seems to have gone from Woolston. Never got as far as Rostherne.

    Been lurking for a short while on this thread. May I ask for directions to the Firecrest site in Delamere? Off the leash on Wednesday, so heading for Rostherne, Woolston and hopefully, Delamere.
