I can remember 40 years ago as a young bird watcher we always had large flocks of twite on canvey point .but they can easily get mixed up with linnet id

Waxwings Anyone know where all the waxwings have gone all local flocks seemed to have disappeared agree Steve went gunners park for first time dogs everywhere few photographers trying to get shots of the long tailed and scooter but people were letting there dogs jump in shame heared so much...

just found the site great to see i live on canvey island .nice new reserve canvey west marsh the black neck grebes were great steve took some super pictures i was lucky to capture some too . anyone know best place to see yellow wagtails

Hi Guys nice to see a Essex site Canvey island good place for all sorts waders and at the moment we have a ivasion of redwings and feildfares never seen so many though theres a great crop of hawthorn berries
