    If you want quite close views & shots of Bullfinch I'd recommend a visit to WWT Washington. The Hawthorn Wood feeding station hide is a great place for close Bullfinch and other common birds:t:.

    If you have Sky tv, you can get BBC1 Wales on channel 972 and BBC2 Wales on channel 991. I often check the local variations in the tv guides and have come across a couple of Iolo's wildlife programmes.:t:

    Do House Martins always make their nests out of clay under the eves as you usually see or do they on occasion nest somewhere else??? The reason I'm asking is, on Friday at work I noticed a couple of House Martins landing on some house guttering and then hopping under the roofing tiles the way...

    While on the subject, do you count sub-species of birds as separate or the same? For example Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus) and Scandinavian Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus littoralis). Just curious because there was both at Hartlepool a few weeks ago;)
