Bittern 'Booming' in late November
Whilst out Birding at first light this morning, I heard from the edge of a reed bed, what I would have confidently identified in early Spring, as a Booming Bittern, with an occasional grunting sound being heard also,....but in late November, surely this can't be correct. Hi Ivan...... You're right.........this is a fantastic area to watch birds, both at Shotton Steelworks, and also here at Flint, although both places are horribly under watched, with a membership at Shotton, of probably less than 10 Permit Holders, it is very rare for me to ever see another... -
