    Apologies for posting this elsewhere before finding this section of the forum. Anyone got recent sightings of Hawfinch in and around Warrington? Know they have been seen at Marbury but not today. Bogey bird for me, so determined to catch one while they seem to have arrived in good numbers...

    A recent sighting in Majorca has me a bit puzzled. Just inland over a small valley close to the high cliffs on the north of the island there were about 6 dark Falcons soaring around together in a loose group. I've only ever seen solitary Falcons so it drew my attention. Clearly very dark wings...

    Cheers Graham, I'll give that a go. Have had ring ouzel and eagle in the same scope at haweswater, then wood warbler & pied flycatcher in the woods down the road. Brilliant place in Spring. Best wishes Nick
