    A Birding Day at Rutland Water NR

    Hi Peter, Some of the other members got the Black Tern as well. The Little Grebe and the Red Grouse was a good spot. Yes it is a good reserve I haven't been there since the early 80s so saw some big changes. Tony

    Shropshire Birding

    Today for the first time in 18 years a Sparrowhawk attempted to take a sparrow from my garden birdfeeder, it failed as the feeder is sited close to trees. Good to see though.

    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    Today for the first time since Jan 1996, (Yes I have looked every year since) I saw 15 Redwing in the Hawthorn tree outside my back garden, lovely sight.

    Shropshire Birding

    A good day at Priorslee Lake brushing up on gull identification. Spotted a 3rd winter Herring Gull in a flock of c200 Lesser Black backed gulls. There were another couple of juvenile Herring gulls as well.
