    Dropping id wanted

Hello Thank you for your input. My first thoughts were a mustelid too.. I have seen Stoat and Weasel droppings before, but none like this. They have been a little twisted and pointy at the ends, but this one looks more like a necklace to me! Thanks re: the photo

    Dropping id wanted

It was taken a few years ago now and hard to remember size, but approximately the size and length of an average mans little finger. It was on a nature reserve near Tewkesbury Glos with ditches and flood meadows not too far from the river Severn.

    Golden Globes

Thanks for your input and theories. We had wondered if they could possibly be some type of moth or beetle larvae but these definitely had just emerged from the globes..if you look closely you can see the remains of the globes around them. All the ones we have seen have had varying sized larvae...

    Golden Globes

Saw the larvae of Cionus Weevil and it looks unlike like the ones in the globes. We did see one who had just emerged from a globe and it just looked like a small caterpillar. A couple of pic’s that show it.

    Golden Globes

Hello guys, thank you for your input. Definitely not dried-out cuckoo spit. I don’t think that one was dead…in most cases you could actually see the larvae moving. Thanks for the weevil cocoon info, I will check Cionus out. The parasitised one was long ago. I do know a chap who may have reared...

    Raptor Identification needed

Hi Russ, As mentioned, my first thoughts...Guess you are going by the yellow eye mainly? The head marking just looks unlike your usual Sparrowhawk though!...of course this could just be a trick of the light at the time. Phil
