    Great tits have disappeared

Hi, for the last few weeks we have had great tits nesting in our garden, and in the last week, both of them have been busy coming back and forth with food so we guessed that the eggs had hatched. But in the last couple of days we haven't seen them at all, I was out all day Thursday and since...

    Canon SX50 Specs

Hi, I find digital media store pretty good, just select your camera and it will show you all the items available for it. They usually have lens caps/hoods etc. I've used them lots of times. Hope this helps.

I would agree with the canon sx40, great image quality and zoom, and you should be able to pick one up for close to that budget.

    External flash for SX50?

Metz make good flashes but, personally, I would think the canon 270ex would be a better size for the sx50 as the metz 44 would be quite big, although you may not mind that, but I would say the 270 would be a better balance with with the sx50.

Fujifilm HS50 EXR has arrived !

Well, decided to order one, it should be here today. The fast focusing was the deciding factor, although it can always go back/be sold if I am not happy. Have read a few things about image quality not being so good, but also read some really good things as well. and after seeing some of the...

    Strange line on sx40

Hi, thanks for your reply and for checking your camera. I decided to take it back to shop yesterday after trying all sorts of different modes on/off, they exchanged it. Thought better to do it now, save any hassle down the line. Yes it does have quite a few different options. Would go dslr but...

    Strange line on sx40

Hi, I have just noticed that when I put the sx40 in servo mode a pink line appears down the lcd screen and viewfinder, when I half press the shutter button. It doesnt show up in the photos and its only in servo mode, as soon as I take it off of servo it disappears, and, as I say, only when I...

This looks really good, especially at 800. Lovely shot. I have had both the canon sx50 and the fz150 in the last few weeks and decided to keep the fz150. That 5.5fps and the fast af is so good to use. So I have just bought a tcon 17 for it :)

    Panasonic FZ150

Hi, I have tried using silkypix for raw but find it very complicated (although, never really done much raw shooting before, so it doesnt take much to confuse me :) ) just wondered if anyone could recommend software that can take raw files from the fz150, something nice and simple would be good...

Roy, I guess you turn down sharpening through the custom colour option? also I have read that it can blow highlights, so would it be worth turning down contrast a notch, or is lowering the ev sufficient? thanks.
