    New ZEISS Secacam

    Recently received an email from Zeiss thru BirdForum touting its new trail cams - called Secacam 5 & 7. I live in PA. I've looked online and it appears that for the present sales are restricted to the EU. Anyone have any info on the new product or better yet got their hands on one?

    Well, I feel kinda stupid. The winter plumage, obviously, is muted. I just did a bit of reading up on it and see that they come into their color as warm weather progresses. Perhaps it's a adaptive trait. Having muted colors in the winter makes them stand out less to predators. I do...
