    Hi staying at minehead this weekend with some friends and wondered if anyone could tell me some good places to go for a spot of birding.     Waxwings for me at Pitsea yesterday.Tried for the penduline tits at Rainham today but wasn't showing while I was there, but I hear plenty did get to see them today. Gill

    Two tree island

    Started today at Rossi's in Southend. Very very dull,wet and overcast so after 2 cups of coffee and a couple of hours with just gulls, turnstones and the occasional cormomant decided to head for two tree island. Weather was no drier but I could see a lot more.Oystercatcher, Curlew,redshank...
