Good question! Let's say, absolute maximum, £1,000. I've more or less given up stills photography, so could sell some stuff for a purchase.

    Camera For Filming Badgers

Hi, I have access to a badgers' sett, which I would like to film this year. I would be no more than 10 metres from the badgers, so don't need a long lens. What is more important is that any camera has good autofocus with video, and gives good low-light performance, as the sett is in quite dense...

common gull or kittiwake, Mumbles, Swansea

Kittiwakes have had quite a large nesting colony on the pier for many years. When the pier was being renovated a few years back, some nesting areas were lost, so the wooden nesting platforms were put in place for them. They seem to have taken to them like ducks to water, so to speak!

    Lightweight Waterproof Jacket

Hi, Can anyone recommend a good quality lightweight waterproof jacket - something I can stow away in the corner of a bag, and take out quickly when there's a sudden downpour? I want something that will withstand heavy rain, rather than is just showerproof. And preferably with not too much of...

    Waistcoat/Gilet

I've got a cheap army surplus mesh waistcoat from Whipperley's - scroll down to the Green Multi-pocketed Vest: http://www.whipperleys.co.uk/acatalog/shooting_vests_safari_vests_fshing_vest.html The front pockets will take a Canon 70-200mm f/4, or a 7D minus lens, although the pocket zip won't...
