    Eagle ID - Tennessee USA

On January 1 there was an adult bald eagle at Williamport Lakes in Columbia, Tennessee. I went back today and found these two but didn't see the adult bald eagle. Are these two golden eagles or juvenile bald eagles? I'm leaning toward golden eagles but wanted to get your opinions. Including...

I can hear it but I can't see it!

I had the same experience with a couple of BobWhite Quail recently. They were in a field that was lined with trees and I didnt have permission to go into the field. I sat on the roadside and looked and looked and never saw them. I could hear them as clear as day.

Good North East USA Guide for a Beginner?

My preference was to get a small pocket guide with color photos specific to my state of Tennessee. It has the birds divided up by their main color so I can find any new bird easily. Also keeps me from having to look through birds not in my state. I do have guides for the Eastern Region as...

little gray bird - Southern Middle Tennessee USA - March 2009

Thank you so much. It looked so gray to me and that threw me off. I knew I should know it. I had males everywhere and I knew some of the females on the feeders but this one was setting up in the willow tree and just looked different. Thanks again.

little gray bird - Southern Middle Tennessee USA - March 2009

I know that I should probably recognize this bird but it has me stumped. Kind of looked like Eastern Phoebe but the white wing bars threw me. I also thought about Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher but it doesnt have the white eye rings. So tell me the obvious....Thanks so much for your help.o:)

How do you photograph birds well?

I am just like Gentoo. I started with birds as well. I also crop too close but I take whatever feedback I get. Even my worst shots are great to me because they have a picture of a bird and place that I took and I was glad to be there in the moment. So just get out there and enjoy it most of...
