    Iphone XS - Phonescoping

I am now considering the Iphone XS for phonescoping. I did have the XR in mind initially but I think that the optical zoom feature on the XS might prove more versatile. Any thoughts on this appreciated. Thanks, John

    Phone adapter opinion please

Update re PhoneSkope adapters. PhoneSkope have suggested that their U2 Universal Adapter would be recommended for use with Nikon MCII and MC Wide eyepieces. For me it would appear to be the most cost effective option as I would only need one adapter. The U2 Universal Adapter would seem...

    Phone adapter opinion please

I had a chat with [email protected]. Some problems for me are that each eyepiece I have are of different diameters. A further complication is that the eyepieces are slightly tapered. I would need to order a different adapter for each eyepiece and that would be too expensive an option for...

    Phone adapter opinion please

Hi All, I have asked Phone Skope for the recommended adaptor for my eyepieces, on measuring them I find that a) They each have a taper, narrower at the eyepiece end and wider closer to the scope body. b) they are all different diameters. c) NOMINALLY the diameters are as follows...

    Phone adapter opinion please

Thank you Toby Tyke, Phone Skope asked me for the diameter of my MC eyepiece. I will measure mine, it will be interesting to find if all of my eyepieces are exactly the same diameter on the ocular end. John

    Phone adapter opinion please

Hi Toby Tyke, Are you using DS or MC eyepieces on your ED82, I am using MC, at this point in time I don't see how the C3 Optic Adapter:3-006-A could be compatible with both DS and MC eyepieces. P.S. I have asked Phone Skope this question, let's see if I get a reply. Thank you, John

    Phone adapter opinion please

Thank you Toby Tyke. I looked this up and on 'Phone Skope' website I paired my ED82 with my wife's iphone 6s plus (my personal lowly Motorolla phone is not listed |8(|). The suggested option from the website was an OtterBox Defender Case Adapter and a C3 Optic Adapter : C3-006-A The website...

Digiscoping with Nikon ED50 which eyepieces are suitable

Clarification Does anyone have the technical specifications for these eyepieces, are they different in terms of quality, field of view etc.? And like others, I cannot understand the logic of Nikon applying the same model number to both eyepieces, I think Horokuru is correct when he says the...

Bargain Alert: Craghopper fleece lined trousers

Sorry to hear that Craghoppers would'nt give you the reduced price John P, I doubt though that you will be able to re-order at the lower price as yesterday afternoon every size and colour was being shown as sold out when a friend tried to order them. ED50 --an excellent tiny scope!

Sorry Kevin, you are of course correct in your reading of the chart, I mis-read the chart, did'nt notice the asterisk beside item number 3. I wonder if this is a typographical error because as I said, I use 16 wide MC on the ED50 and it works fine, maybe someone will clarify. Regards, John

    ED50 --an excellent tiny scope!

Hi Kevin, Item number 3 is the 16x wide MC eyepiece (on the ED50), if I am reading the chart correctly, then it is item number 1 that is not recommended for the ED50, though I do not know the reason for this. Regards, John

    ED50 --an excellent tiny scope!

I have not checked the Nikon Web Site Mayoayo, for what reason does Nikon not recommend the 16x MC? Works perfectly for me on the ED50, and gives a truly nice view, but maybe I'm missing something|:S|. Regards, John

Bargain Alert: Craghopper fleece lined trousers

Hi Razor, Not much of a price difference I agree, I sometimes find them in a local (TKMAX) store at £19.00, not found them cheaper as yet; they are very good trousers as you say, did'nt mean to be picky about the price. I'm sure that anyone who tries them for cold weather (kiwi's are great...
