    Vancouver

I'm visiting Vancouver 10-14th January. Not hiring a car, relying on public transport. Are there any suggestions as to where to go and what I could expect to see this time of year? [email protected] Many thanks

Does anyone know the best area at Thursley to look for the GGShrike? I've been a couple of times this week and no joy. I'm probably looking in totally the wrong area! Any pointers gratefully received.

    Merganser or goosander. Scotland.

I always remember them by "merganser merges" whereas the Goosander has a line between the white and brown.
