    hI Sal had some hassles with the size of my pics - so couldn't use my blog much - I have posted quite a lot of the photos and pics on my facebook site - do you use facebook? I now have some software to reduce the size of my pics and the photos ! Once these are sorted I'll post onto my blog...

    Hallo well maybe you are all back - I want to know what you saw Sal and Allan I went to Finland and Ne Norway - so in the Arctic circle- and 24/7 day light some very different birds but also lots of what I call usual winter birds but in their breeding plumage - but the wols! wow!

    Dont just feed Niger seed - I have a flock of up to 30 (occasionally they are all at the same time) feeding on Sunflower hearts and Mixed variety as well as a couple of niger feeders- some clearly favour sunflower seeds. I watched the youngsters this summer prefering sunflower seeds. :t:

    Shame that these basic error are still happening-I never blame the presenters as I dont expect them to recognise birds! Was Iolo on Unsprung - as he knows his stuff. Wish he was on more and by himself!

    Once the RL B arrive they tend to stay for the winter - it would be strange if you didnt see one on a trip - just be prepared to work a bit for them as experience i have is they do rove a bit! just be aware of how RLB work!

    I agree totally! I can take reasonable photos with a good slr and a brilliant lens - but digiscoping is an art in itself! I learnt a new trick this October from advice - realised that I had been doing it incorrectly - probably ought to have gone on a course instead of just trying what I thought...
