    The Zeiss Dialyt 8x56 look very cool, but handle very poor and a definitely no go for is that they aren't waterproof, also the eyecups are not so nice when you wear glasses. The minimum focus distance is also quite long, which make them less universal. And at last, they aren't so bright anymore...

    The Docter Nobilem are very nice low light binoculars. They might even be the brightest available. But they are indeed quite bulky. I have some big hands, but these are even to big for my hands and also to heavy to hold still for a while.

    For the Netherlands I wouldn't consider Nikon Binoculars for a moment. In my country the service for Nikon is very poor.

    Does the BG Bino Guard work with the winged eye cups? Other suggestions?

    I'm using them in combination with standard eye cups and the love them. I don't see any problems for the winged eye cups and would suggest to go to your local Swarovski dealer and just try them on you binoculars.

    You might consider the Swarovski Habicht line-up. Some really affordable waterproof alpha bins well below € 1.000,00 I really loved my 7x42.

    The yellow isn't the problem anymore for years now. And the Habicht is ergonomically great for big handed people (like me) and thus the focusser is on the right spot for me and you. :t:

    These are SLC 8x56, so you are forced to prefer the SLC, because the EL aren't available in 8x56. But in the end, the EL might have sharper edges and forget the rolling ball effect of the EL, I still prefer the SLC for there better ergonomics. I really hate open bridge designs. Only those EL...

    Storing optics in car?

    I my experience the Alpha's can handle a big range of temperatures, but I heard from quite some non-alpha's got trouble with mainly high temperatures. Loose prisms, grease melting out the bins and the body armor that comes of.
