Having 2 pairs of binoculars. Which would you choose?

I'd go with 10x42 and 8x32 combo. I own and like the Nikon EDG in both those configurations. If I was getting the opportunity to cherry pick new glass I'd compare EDG's to all the latest and greatest and go from there. (: -Mike

    Zeiss Victory FL 8x32

I’d add build quality, handling characteristics, central resolution, micro contrast, glare control and neutral representation of colors.

    Zeiss Victory FL 8x32

    Kowa Genesis 8x33 are outstanding.

Delivery time MC II zoom eyepiece

Hey I sent my mcII 20-60x eyepiece into nikonusa for repair in june. The told me they would be replacing the eyepiece. They then called me back and told me that this eyepiece is out of stock and had no idea when they would have them back in stock. So I waited and waited. finally gave up last...

    Fieldscope 60mm stuff

Well I got the 30x a few days a go from nikonusa and I must say that the wide fov is very nice to have! and the eye relief is also very nice as well. It does offer a exceptional view. This eyepice and the mcII zoom would be a tuff combo to beat. I wish money grew on trees! 3:-)

Leupold Gold 15-30 vs. Nikon Spotter XL II

Of those two I would say the nikon. I had on for a few years and it was a pretty good scope. Also check out the bushnell elite. It is very similar to the nikon but it has raingaurd and is also less money. If you had a little more money you could get the pentax 65mm ed scope. I have seen them for...

    Fieldscope 60mm stuff

30x 5 Well I had to send my 20-60x into nikon because I broke it. It was my fault 100%. Since it was covered under the no fault warranty they said they would replace it. Well over here in the U.S. Nikon does not have any of these eyepieces in stock and they have no idea when they will be back...

    Nobody using a Leoupold? Really?

The nikon you mentioned is the way I would go it is regarded as one of the best small scopes in the world! Leupold is out of their league when it comes to top notch spotting scopes. Nikon make's their own glass and lens coatings. I saw a fieldscope 3 (non ed) go for $433 on ebay last week. This...

    Fieldscope 60mm stuff

Fov I have read that the field of view is 105 ft at 1000 yards with this eyepiece and I have also read that it is 156 ft at 1000 yards. anyone know which one of these numbers is correct? Or am I gonna have to go do the test my self.

    Fieldscope 60mm stuff

eyepieces. I have the ed version of this scope and I also have both the 20-60x and the 20-45x. IMO the 20-60x is definatly worth the extra cash. It brought new life to my scope!! The 20-60x will closely match the optical quality of the fixed eyepieces. The brightness will decrease at 60x but...

    Eyepiece magnification on various fieldscopes?

length The 78mm is 12.9 inches and the 82mm is 12.6 inches very close to the same length. The distance between the internal lens might be the same on the 78 and 82. The ED 3 60mm is 11 inches. These are all measurements without eye piece. :flyaway:

    Eyepiece magnification on various fieldscopes?

Yes they it will be the same for the 78mm and the 82mm. The reason it is different for the other scopes is the simple fact that they are shorter in overall length.

    nikon fieldscope differances

Yes it is the same as the ED3 only it is black. One difference is you can not buy the body only. It comes as a package form nikon with the mc 20-45x zoom. I think nikon came out with the TF3 for hunters, and law enforcement. The Tactical Fieldscope 3 is just a different marketing approch. Oh yea...

    nikon fieldscope differances

eye pieces Just curious what eyepiece's you are useing. My TF3 "ed3" came with the mc 20-45x zoom. Recently I picked up the MCII 20-60x zoom. I will be comparing these 2 eyepieces this week. mike

    nikon fieldscope differances

Nikon IIIS ED v Nikon Tactical TC3

Tf3 I think you mean TF3, which stands for tactical fieldscope 3. As far as I know they are identcal optically. They both have ED glass. The TF3 is a package deal with the mc 20-45x zoom. Very nice scope! :t:
