    Your local Patch/Reserve.

Now that I am back in the US, my trip list came to only 35 species, but considering that I was stuck in Panzano (in Chianti) and the nearby cities due to traveling with family and friends, I am fine with it. My family and I left for Italy on the 22nd of June and came back last night, total of...

Not my home, but on vacation in italy (will post pictures later), in panzano I have seen quite a few new species. So far new species have been Redstart, Serin, Cuckoo, Green Woodpecker, Short-tailed Eagle, Common Buzzard, Cirl Bunting, and Grey Wagtail. Most amusing is how I managed to not see...

Looks Brown-crested to me as well, could be the lighting that is making it look pale chested.

Hummingbird ID North Oregon coast, USA

Yup they are both Anna's Hummingbirds, the difference in colors could just be slight genetic variation or could be a result of light reflecting off at a different angle which would result in not seeing the same color. Nice pictures of the hummingbird! :)

ID please ? falcon in kuwait

I have no experience over there, but from the field guide "Raptors of the World", my guess would be Amur Falcon (Eastern Red-footed Falcon) based upon the color of the feet and eye-ring. (Adult female, not Juvenile) But that is just my guess, could be wrong. Hopefully someone with more...

    Attack of the House Sparrows

Seems like a VERY weird habit, I do not know of them doing anything like that before. For me, House Sparrows have rarely been at my house up in Portland, Oregon. But in the past few years they have been showing up at the feeder more and more. Now there are 15 or so that are out and about at...
