ED82, any chart to test if the optics are a good sample?

The chart below is the one I've been using for all my binoculars. I'm thinking of setting it 100 yds away first to test the 30x and 75x eyepieces of the ED82 and then keep moving it further maybe 50 yards at a time until I can't resolve the vertical lines top and bottom at the ends. That...

Thanks Peter, I'll do some reading about the RCTR that you mentioned to understand and test my scope.

ED82, any chart to test if the optics are a good sample?

I have one of those charts that I use for my binoculars but is there any benchmark as to what I should be resolving at around 100 yards at 30x and 75x? Right now the only benchmark I have is that my friend lives over 1/2 mile away and told me to spot his house and tell him what I see, so I did...

ED82, any chart to test if the optics are a good sample?

Been thinking about this for awhile. Has anyone come up with a test chart to test lets say the 75x DS fixed eyepiece and the 30x DS eyepiece to determine if the sharpness is on the higher or lower side of the scale as I've read here often about sample variation?

Using DS eyepieces for viewing on a ED82 fieldscope?

Thanks. Do you think the #D Printed eye cups would also fit the DS x75? I do know someone with a 3D printer, would you know how I could go about getting instructions to print them?

Using DS eyepieces for viewing on a ED82 fieldscope?

I ordered both the DS 30x and the DS 75x. I'm fairly new to this but I understand they both don't come with twist up eye cups. Is it possible to buy the eye cups somewhere? I think I would be ok for myself but my wife always prefers more distance between the lens and her eyes.

Nikon 10x25HGL DCF vs Midas G2 10x25 UHD, how do they compare?

Wow, if that's true that would be good for me as my Uncle wants my Midas after looking through it so I can suggest to him to get the Legend 8x42 and then we can really compare if they are the same thanks!

Nikon 10x25HGL DCF vs Midas G2 10x25 UHD, how do they compare?

Thanks Denco, that really covered it all, I really appreciate the help! Since the Midas 10x25 UHD is the clone of the Bushnell Legend, would you or anyone else know what the Athlon Midas G2 8x42 UHD is the clone of if at all? Reason I ask is that the MIdas 8x42's are incredible and I'd be...

Christmas gift thread for binoculars - what range is this?

Do you happen to know the oculars lens diameter on your midas g2 10x50? I have the midas G2 8x42 and would also like the 10x50 but from the pics that Athlon has, it appears the 10x50's have a smaller diameter lens and I wanted to confirm that first before purchasing. I did call Athlon today...
