    It's been a great summer and now early fall - Highlights include a Least Bittern, confirming a breeding pair (at least) of Salt Marsh Sparrows, an early American Pipit, and the absolute kicker... a probable Bronx county first Say's Phoebe! SALS AMPI SAPH

    New OM-1

    Just chiming in to say what a pleasure the OM-1 is to use. I used Mathieu Gasquet from Mirrorless Companion's BIF settings as a starting point, but I've since tweaked them a fair bit as I got to know the camera.

    Which binocular(s) did you use today?

    Spent a few hours in the marsh, carried the 10x42 NL's Highlights were some Virginia Rail chicks and at least 5 Saltmarsh Sparrows; one of which was carrying food to a nest. Amazing to see such a rare bird so close to a major city. Thinking of getting a pair of 10x32's to cut down on weight

    Fantastic day, several very good views of some Northern Gannets - even got to see a dive. I've been trying to get a look at them for a while. Also the usual amazing variety shore and water birds. Mergansers, Loon, Long tailed Duck, Bufflehead, Great Egret etc.

    Man that Eagle is gorgeous! I skimmed the video on the Audubon page, crazy looking at the possible paths it took to get to New England, good luck spotting it!

    Hello from Long Island Sound

    Hi all - Birder, beekeeper, fisherman currently in and around NYC and Western Long Island Sound. I've been lurking on the forum for the past few months while researching scopes and thought I would join.
