    Rufous Hummingbird at my house today...

    It's been a very cold Spring... That's for sure! I spotted my first swallow of spring on March 19 last year, have not seen one yet this year and its April 7. And I just saw the Rufous again. It is "visiting" a red-colored manufacturers label on a window of a house being built behind me...

    Perhaps its a Western thing;). When I moved to the west from Minnesota in 2006 I was surprised to see a lot of mixed species flocks foraging together.

    Anyone else notice this? They love hanging out and hunting together. I've observed this behavior in Dallas Oregon and in Felt Idaho.
