Leica eye candy....
Beautifull collection. I feel handicapped with only two Leica binoculars. But apparently I picked the right ones, a 7x42 UVHD+ and a Trinovid HD 8X32. -

The Zeiss SFL 8x30 compared with select current 8x30/8x32 roof binoculars
I just compaired the SFL 8×30 with my Noctivid 8x42. They share almost the same k value. The AFOV of the Noctivid is smaller on paper than the AFOV of the SFL, but to my eyes the image feels bigger in the Noctivid. The magnification of the SFL feels a little bigger. The biggest difference is... -

To my eyes, the SFL 8x30 is a very nice binocular. It reminder me a lot of the SLC 8X42 I used to have. Anyway thanks for the response -

For the various SFL models it looks like the k value is all over the place. Not much of a design philosophy ? -

NL Pure 'problems'.
Swarovski is adding a brush and soap. I assume to use water to clean it. Mr van Ginkel has never an issue with Swarovski. He probably does not use them. -

I am having the same issues. The bino, just 2 months old, is with Swarovski at the moment. This does not sound very promising. -

Above 17x you need a tripod. 17x however for a Quick look is oke without for me. -

I have had an ATC for a few days , but decided for a STC. Used it on the coast and in the forest and swamp area. Can easily compete with an ATX or ATS 65. Much wider FOV at all magnifications, razor sharp and very easy view. EXCELENT scope. -

Nice collection!!! I had them all except the CL. I AM AN EYEGLAS WEARER! When you compare the first picture of the 8,5 with my picture the differences are obvious!! The base of the prism and sleeve of the focusing lens are completely different . As you have both the EL and the NL, both 8x32...- BertL

New Swarovski EL
I have had the previous and new version quite short after eachother. It was the different but excelent view that made me look inside the tubes. It is not an SLC, but it is an excellent binocular, a real masterpiece! It is worth every penny I paid for it. It is cheap when you compare it to a...- BertL

New Swarovski EL
I must say, that despite the modifications it is an excellent binocular. I think it is maybe even better than the "old" EL. I am really happy with it. It think it is better than the far more expensive Noctivid, at least for me. I prefer it above the Victory SF. But binoculars are very personal...- BertL

It looks like the internals of the EL are now identical to the internals of the SLC/ Khales. So the are streamlining there production proces in order to cut cost. So the EL is dead long live the ELC.- BertL

Internals are completely different, see the pictures. Apperently Swarovski has brought an entire new binocular on the market in the EL housing!!! And as I said before it is a very good binocular!!!! What did they do?- BertL
