Why buy SFL 8x40 and not Conquest 8x32?
For low light situations this may be true. On the other hand, I did not really miss a 42 for observations durung the day with a 32 bin. And also eye place comfort is worse with some 42s than with some 32s. -
Swarovski sellers dilusional?
When I got my ELs, I went out of my way to get new-old-stock of the pre-FieldPro version to get non-proprietary strap mounts. with the NLs there are already adapter. so you can use your own straps. I am not a friend of the field pro versions too. But at least the lock has not yet been released... -

Wow. You got two of them. However, the 42's cost considerably higher than the 32's. On Swaro's website 8x42 costs €2,850.00 while 10x32 costs €2,440.00. yes.that is right. I sold the 42 again. i bought the 32 each for 1900€. -

Scratch or Dust
Hallo ticl2184, you probably mean the bright dot. i think it is dust behind the lenses. i had that with an new SLC 8 to 42 too. Only with several dots and still dirt outside on the lenses. I sent it back. The new one is ok. The same with a SLC 15 to 56. And my two NL 8 to 42 had loose rubber on... -

I did it too. i ordered a 10 to 42L. first I wanted to buy Swaro NL 10 to 42 or NL 10 to 32 with forehead rest. I had NL 8 to 42 and unfortunately a lot v.g. And the small NLs seem to have a problem with that too. Therefore I wanted to buy then SLC 42 or 56 in 10. but somehow I have to admit to...
