    GPO Passion ED 8 x 32 Review

To counter, GPO has spent countless time, effort and investment to improve the focus wheels and free play on the PASSION ED series. I am not sure which "CEO" you spoke with from GPO, but our headquarters are based in Germany and there we do our best to ensure that our products offer the best...

PASSION ED binoculars do not feature PASSIONdrop hydrophobic lens coatings. That lens coating is used in the PASSION HD series.

Eye relief for 10x32 GPO passion ed

The RUAG OEM cooperation was in place since the beginning of GPO's founding. Originally the OEM business was exclusive of America, so GPO-USA would have had no interaction with it.

Eye relief for 10x32 GPO passion ed

The Geco products were not originally intended for the US market, so that could have been why.

Eye relief for 10x32 GPO passion ed

Just for clarification, but GPO no longer offer binoculars to the former RUAG Ammotec group under their Geco brand. Any Geco branded optics are old production.

Why are Meopta's so hard to sell?

Meopta has never been and never aspired to be an "alpha" brand. Zeiss, Swarovski and Leica have been at the top of the mountain in various forms for decades. Meopta could never reach those heights simply due to a lack of want, i.e. marketing push. Quality-wise, some Meopta products, like the...

Why are Meopta's so hard to sell?

Meopta had a very reputable and widespread name in Europe and Germany, just in the hunting market. Not birding.

    Questions related to GPO

Sorry for not getting back sooner, but to confirm; PASSION ED binoculars are manufactured in China while PASSION HD binoculars are manufactured in Japan. All industrial and mechanical designs were done in Germany beforehand and then each product is 100% inspected in Germany prior to being...

    Questions related to GPO

Hello David, I noticed that the list prices for GPO at Birdfair were copies of the EUR pricing, so I believe InFocus did not have a chance to adjust them for the UK market prior to the fair. When just copied from Euro pricing they are higher than the products they are intended to compete...
