    pipit - but which one?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's a water pipe - it's not the time or place. I felt that these photos were too weak, but thank you for your help!

    pipit - but which one?

Hi. I assume it's a pipit, but which one? Looks like no streaking on the flanks. The area is meadows, partly wasteland. May 20 Podhale, Poland

    Blyth's reed warbler (pictures, song)?

Thank you very much for your interpretations and really great explanations. Yes, I had big doubts too, but this Marsh was really special. everyone else eventually speeds up and reaches their crazy pace. This one, despite long listening, did not "fire".

    Blyth's reed warbler (pictures, song)?

Place Poland , Podhale, today (ushes by the pond near the river), dark legs, song with phrases repeated quite slowly, full of imitations. Blyth's reed warbler or just sleepy Marsh warbler :) ?

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Thanks for the reliable interpretations as usual! I still attach excessive importance to the dark underwing coverts (Are dark upperparts , dark lesser coverts nothing unusual here)?

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Hi, I strongly suspect this gull of being a Lbb gull. Why - you can see that it is in the process of moulting and the coat is becoming dark, the flanks are heavily black-spotted. Anyway, everything is visible this time :) Second cycle? Poland, Podhale , today.

    Red-footed Falcon , aging

Great explanation, everything clear (y). They hunted almost above my head like crazy, I rarely have the opportunity to see the details of these falcons' plumage.

    Red-footed Falcon , aging

I am having trouble determining the age and sex of these Rf falcons. I'm surprised by the rusty spots on the chest , neck of the first one (female?). The second one is - second year female (brownish top of mantle)? Poland Podhale yestarday

Yellow legged Gull this time ?

As in the thread title - and sorry for the poor photos. Place Podhale, yesterday.

    another mixed gull

Another mixed Gull ? Slightly built bird, top like a YL, lesser underwing coverts completely uniformly dark. So ? Herring, YL, ?🙄

    Yellow legged Gull ?

And everything is clear , thanks so much Lou, Alex, Harry! - but I still have to ask about the mirror? Are there no differences between Gulls in 2nd cycle ? Shouldn't caspian have a single (p10) after all?

A bit of a strange pipit

Thank you all for your opinion and for joining the conversation. However, I must admit that something doesn't suit me here (I mean the impression) on meadow pipit.

    Yellow legged Gull ?

Thanks a lot , but as I wrote, Lou opinion (from other thread) was: "black band tapering towards corners in michahellis". Another question: what about mirror on primaries ?

A bit of a strange pipit

Sorry 🙄 Poland Podhale 3 may

A bit of a strange pipit

Here I have a strange pipit from a few days ago. It seems to be staying where I also saw Red-throated Pipits, but somehow it doesn't look typical - a strange streaking of the breast, a rather long bill, a large bright area around the eye, - but everything can be seen in the photos.

    Yellow legged Gull ?

First - Poland , Podhale , 3 may 2 gulls - and in my opinion 2 Yellow-legged (or it's time to give up on recognizing gulls :) ) . Among other things, I remembered from Lou that black band tapering towards corners in michahellis. Lack of mirrors , lack of evident window, uniform back - 3 year?

Skylark or not Skylark ?- thats the question

Thanks Butty! exactly - the photo you posted clearly shows equally dark greater coverts, and yet a pretty dark top

Skylark or not Skylark ?- thats the question

Skylark or not Skylark ?- thats the question :) Why am I asking? - it seems the bird has contrasting black median coverts, quite bright top (mantle, wing), short bill , and delicate lines on the side of the breast. Maybe some southern lark ? I wish :) Poland, Podhale, today

    Herring Gull?

Hi - The Gull with such a clear window on primaries can only be a Herring gull ? (in the 3rd calendar year?)

Gull with an enlarged white patch on the wing

Yes of course - mirros, I couldn't remamber the word :) Thanks - pale parts are visible (imo) especially on pic 6126, but maybe that are sun reflections. My hallucinations were perfectly explained 😄. Great thanks!

Gull with an enlarged white patch on the wing

Hi At the end of March I noticed a seagull with an enlarged primaries patch - it covers not 2 but 3 primaries (illusion?). Additionally, the wing coverts and primaries are somewhat pale. But is everything normal here for Caspian?

    Yellow-Legged Gull ?

    Thanks !!!

    Yellow-Legged Gull ?

Hi, this time I see YL Gull second winter plumage here - correct? (30 march , Poland Podhale)

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Thank you very much! As always, you are reliable. Your answers make me happy, although they do not indicate what species. But at least I know that I can spot among many individuals the ones that are interesting ;).

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Recently I observed an interesting seagull - it seemed darker to me than the Caspian herring gulls YL. Also, when observing the bird, I had the impression that it was noticeably darker - is it a Lesser black-backed gull? miejsce - Polska , Podhale, kilka dni temu. Additionally, it seems that the...
