    Today's thoughts Leica ultravid 10x25

Well today I managed to get to go to a local nature reserve with my new leicas. What struck me first about them was how bright they were even against my good lady's 8x43 Hawkes. They held there own! The field of view was sharp to the edge and the whole image was razor sharp and detailed...

Just got myself some of these!

Hi all Just been looking for a while for some compact binoculars. Today I tried the swarovski 8x25 cl against the leica ultravid 10x25 br aquadura. Both superb and nothing between them in quality of image, but I did prefer the Ieica so I ended up with these. Happy days, can't wait to try...

    Oregon 8x32 LE WP

Funny coming across this post, I just acquired an older pair not the newer 4 ones. Never been too keen on opticron and I've tried nearly every pair, but these oregon 8x32 are little gems. There dead sharp, excellent fov, nice ergonomically and are far better than alot of the more expensive...

Well I know this don't help but managed to try a pair of swarovski 8.5x42 against the frontier 8x43 and the swaro ask expected made the hawkes look terrible..it was in low light though in the shopping mall..they were amazing! But I know there not in the same class, always liked my old frontier...

Which is the best Hawks Ed model

Out of all the Hawks Ed binoculars, which if any seems to be the most consistent in giving the best optical view through them? I was looking at a compact pair of leicas but reading on some of these hawkes, say like the 8x43 Ed they seem to be compatible in image quality and enjoyable...

Which new 8x20s would you pic and why?

Sounds like the 8x25 are favourable then..are the 8x20s made of a lesser material then if there so light? Also I'm now wondering just how much of an improvement in image quality I'm going to get over my leica 10x25 BCA older ones which I still find phenomenal..

Which new 8x20s would you pic and why?

Hello all. I fancy a premium pair of 8x20 compact bins. What would you got for out of the top 3? And why? Really interested in the pros and cons of each. But my main quality is the experience when looking through them.. Thanks

    Trinny service today.

I'm very fortunate that because I work for a company who repairs photographic and optical equipment I managed to get my trinny 10x25 serviced a bit today. I had done.. Hinges tightened, they were not bad but now there as you would expect on a new pair. Retractable eye cups were a bit stiff...
