Phoebe or Flycatcher - Dallas Texas

Juv Eastern Pheobe for me. can even make out the gape(?) Bill and lack of yellow should exclude dusky-capped i think.

Western x clarks grebe hybrid on the right? Sorry The glare made the picture bad, but I did not change any saturation settings, Washington.

I'll just put a link to the helpful bird hybrids site: https://birdhybrids.blogspot.com/2014/06/western-grebe-x-clarks-grebe.html You may well be right. I feel they should simply be lumped 🙈

Western x clarks grebe hybrid on the right? Sorry The glare made the picture bad, but I did not change any saturation settings, Washington.

Looks fine for Western Grebe to me. Yes it has slightly less dark around the eye, but within variation I feel. The bill is the typical olive of Western, and the flanks look just as white as the bird to the left. Yes, I suppose it could be partially Clark's, but I don't like being picky about...

    Sunbird in Thailand--Doi Inthanon NP

When I was up there it was all Mrs. Gould's (at least the ones I could tell). I think that while Green-tailed is the target people are looking for, it's not as common as the other. Regarding the ID: sorry, I'll pass

Bird with powder blue belly brown wings and head in CNY feeder today 04_24_24.

I believe the OP is located in New York (USA)

    US--Tallahassee,FL-Jan-Unknown Feeder Warbler

It looks like a fairly clear-cut Nashville Warbler. Considering they are present, it seems like the right ID in my opinion. The yellow is very bright on the throat, the eye ring can be picked out easily (if you acount for video quality), yellow vent, gray face... even comparing with the example...

A few Puzzling Warbler/Flycatcher birdies, ID help please. Costa Rica

Agree with Querty on 1, 2, 5 dunno for the rest. Would recommend not "enhancing" photos with AI since it can obscure things present and bring out/create things that are not. For example, the flycatcher's whiskers and the area below the eye on #4 both look weird.

    US--Tallahassee,FL-Jan-Unknown Feeder Warbler

Why Orange-crowned? To me the gray head +yellow throat and rest of plumage looks much better for Nashville Warbler

Kinabatangan, Borneo - Malaysian blue flycatcher?

Looks more like a Bulbul, but not sure...

Kinabatangan, Borneo - little egrets or medium egrets?

I'm not seeing any black bills. Just shadows making the yellow darker. I tend to agree with Butty's assessment

Chet Sao Noi NP, Thailand - Common Iora perhaps?

I think Common is the better call. Has a light eye, and lacks any obvious eye arcs. I dont think we can really judge the underpart color due to lighting?

    Short-billed Dowitcher ?? February 29, 2004 Hawaii

I was thinking both are Long-billed based on the amount of white on the underwing coverts. But I'm seeing that Short-billed can be a bit whiter there too... For example, the bird on the left has more white than the one on the right. I was expecting them all to be as patterned as the one on the...

    House Finch? (Old pics)

Looks fine for House Finch. Just a very red one

Pic 3 and 5 do indeed look like they well could be a heron sp. with that bulging neck and if you squint can make out legs / bill too 😇

Pha Taem NP Thailand - Stripe Throated Bulbul or...?

Certainly look like Stripe-throated, just the ruffling of feathers on the head makes me look twice at the first one. but considering the possibilities I think Stripe-throated is the only option that fits

Is it a Larus glaucoides thayeri ?

Looks like one to me. But better wait for someone who knows better. I think the primary pattern looks very good and the overall smaller build with a rounded head. I'm not used to seeing them with a bright base to the bill, but I don't think that's a problem anyway. Hopefully others will give...

    Yucatan / Kingbird 2

Isn't it better for Tropical because: Greenish chest with low contrast between that and throat; long bill; lower profile crown.

    Feb 12/24 - Otter Lake, B.C. Canada

Bill shape, the amount of black between the eye and bill are the main things to look at. Tundra also often has a yellow spot in this spot. when you have them next to each other, size and how white they are can be significant (trumpeter being dirtier and larger). The 2nd bird in the first photo...
