Swarovski HD vs Non-HD spotting scope

Hello, I never felt that the fov is limited at 120x. I think Swarovski was conservative with the 120x limit probably to ensure great quality. I'm not a good adviser, I used to work in the security field, and that was the reason why I bought the 80HD and the ATX95. For the past few years...

Swarovski HD vs Non-HD spotting scope

Perhaps you didn't realize that the message is 15 years old, and the user may no longer even be alive. As far as the 80HD is concerned, I can only tell you that my 80HD it is optically as good as my excellent ATX95. If it hadn't been possible to add the ATX extender, I'd have spent money for...

    2005 ATS 80

IMO you should switch to something else like this (picture). the cost was about $1200 (converted) about 10 years ago and they are extremely useful especially in summer and on water, they are stabilized, you can put filters on (I use polarized filters) and the optics are excellent using a...

    2005 ATS 80

in the fall and winter, or at 2-3 a.m. even in the summer but then I use the atx95, I would like to have the atx115 but in that case I have to sell the atx95. I will never sell the ats 80hd.

    2005 ATS 80

Hi, more or less 100x with the Televue Ethos 4.7mm 110° and about 90x with the Televue Delos 6mm 72°. I use both.

    2005 ATS 80

The only curious thing is that on the serial number registration page on the official website, it is indicated that it is the ATM but i'have purchased an ATS.

    2005 ATS 80

an excellent optic is still an excellent optic after 30 years, enjoy your acquisition! i don't see any daytime differences between my ATS 80HD (2009 i think) and my ATX95 (first model), and i'm willing to bet that between your model and my HD model there is very little differences at 30x...

Swarovski ATX-115: Star-test and Resolution Measurements

Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but the quality of the eyepiece alone can influence the results?

    ATX - stiff zoom?

I just wanted to say that I was surprised at how stiff the zoom is on my ATX95. I need two fingers, but I like it, I certainly can't confuse it with the focusing ring. It's a matter of taste I guess.

    ATX/STX rumor

I'm in the same situation. I'm very tempted by the 115mm but I'm lucky to have two razor sharp scopes (ATM80HD with astro eyepieces and an ATX95mm with extender). I will wait for independent reviews.

    ATX eyepiece button stuck!

Finally I have received the repaired eyepiece. Thank you Swarovski! Soon I will compare the ATX90+1.7Extender with ATS80HD+Televue Ethos 4.7mm (~98x magnification). Right now I can say that the 120x magnification with the 1.7extender is impressive in daylight. I will soon test both scopes at...

    ATX eyepiece button stuck!

Thank you for your suggestions. Tried everything except with oil, I don't want to take the risk and void the warranty. Emailed Swarovki and they asked me to send the eyepiece to the factory.

    ATX eyepiece button stuck!

Hi, I have purchased an ATX-90 in 2012. Today, for the 1st time since my purchase, I have separated the modules to add the 1.7x extender. Unfortunately the button is now stuck inside. Definitively a weak point of this modular system. Any suggestions to release the button? Thank you very much. steph

    Swarovski Astro Adapter

On daylight my ATS 80HD can easily manage 97x magnification with high quality eyepieces like the Ethos 4.7mm 110°. :t: I can see much more details than with the sandard 20-60x zoom. The view is large, clear and very sharp.

    Swarovski Astro Adapter

Purchased two weeks ago. THX Just tested with a brand new 6mm TV Delos. Works like a charm, sharp and clear. As good as the Swarovski zoom at 60x. :t:
