It has been well over ten years since I was lucky enough to photograph a Dartford Warbler, last Wednesday was my lucky day!

    Sorry, no I didn't.

    Frontier ED X owners

Thanks for the video, very informative. It was just the first thing I noticed when I first held them, not sure if it would be less of an issue if the strap was fitted? I cannot try the strap, just in case I return them.

Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42 v Opticron Aurora 8x42

They were ok, but felt no real improvement over my Hawke's, so returned them.

I have a pair of 8x32's which I am trying out. Anyone else found the strap lugs are set quite low on the body? I am finding they are pushing into my palms when I am holding them, thus making them feel uncomfortable to hold.

    Mighty Endurance ED 8x25

Fully agree, for what they cost, they are a bargain. Purchased a pair of Swaro CL 8x25 to replace mine, I am sending them back, as not enough improvement over the Hawke's at over four times the price.

Finally got the Swarovski 8x25 CL

Thanks for your comments guys, much appreciated! I fully understand your reasoning about trying them in the field for a longer period, but the LCE returns policy state they should not be handled any more as you would if you were in their stores, hence why I am reluctant to try them out over a...

Finally got the Swarovski 8x25 CL

Got to open them yesterday, as they are a birthday present. These were to replace my Hawke Endurance ED 8x25. This was only a quick comparison in my garden, just in case I wanted to return the CL's. First impression, they are nicely made and focused very smoothly. The image seemed nice and...

Curio 7x21 vs. CL 8x25 pocket

About to buy the 8x25 CL, not sure on which colour to get, green or black. Always preferred green binos, but thought the black version of these look better than the green. Just think the green makes them look more cheaper than they are.

Swift Ultralites 8x42 - Any value?

I have a pair I purchased new in the 1990's, they are in excellent condition complete with original case and neck strap. Is there any demand for these?

    Prices?

I see some images are of the ones with Swarovski name opposite the bird emblem. According to the Swarovski website, the name is no longer on them, so looks like there is a newer model. Is there any difference optically between the old and new version?

    Prices?

I was thinking of buying the Swarovski 8x25CL as I have a "big" birthday in a few weeks time. These have been £660 at every retailer I have seen on line recently. I have just looked again, and even though every link is still showing £660, each web site shows £700, this is for every retailer...

Curio 7x21 vs. CL 8x25 pocket

I thought the CL would have been better, due to its larger glass, looks like I might be wrong!
