    Seen in passing

I really need to ask this. The other day I happened to view part of a show where the crew was photographing some exotic birds. Several times I saw them using a 600MM lens such as I have. THey had a bracket that held a 'Better Beemer' such as I have, and, a small spotting scope. Would anyone know...

    First Find

This Juvenile Blue Heron was a first find for me. Had never seen one. Located along the upper bay area of the Prime Hook NWLR in Delaware. Didn't seems to turn out too bad, given the threatening weather. :)

    Not Alone

I expect I am not alone in being behind in my processing. :) I shoot Fungi where I find them but can get a bit remiss in adding them to their album. With over 6000 verities of Fungi around here I do not pretend to know them. :) Just another from the - FOREST FLOOR:

It was rutting season when we were in Yellowstone this time of year. This ole boy looked as if he had lost a battle, or, was looking for one. Check the eyes. He was not happy I came upon him, and he showed it. These beasts have been know to take on just about anything, including my truck. When...

    It's In The Wind

I saw the high weeds moving and figured there had to be a bear in there. A bears nose is unbelievable, to make up for their not so good eyesight. I waited and he finally stuck his nose up. EXIF data shows he was only 16 feet away when I took this. A bit too close but he got a little closer when...

    Along The Trail

    Bears

A camping trip to the GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS, produced a surprise last summer. Seems we were just in time for the ripening of the local 'Black Cherries'. Much smaller than the ones we find in the store here, but the Bears LOVE them. This is one shot my wife ask me to frame. He seems to be...

    Hello From Virginia

Just an old film guy who returned to his first love, photography a few years back. Hard for me to get around much, but I do what I can. Still trying to learn some of this new stuff. I work with two Nikons, a D 700 and a D 80, plus a few assorted lenses. Links below will take you to some of my...
