    Moth for ID East Anglia

Finally some bits and pieces in the trap last night, but I'm struggling a bit to put a name to this one. Caught in a mid-Norfolk garden. At a guess I'd say Clouded Drab? Can provide more pictures if needed, Thanks in advance.

    Raptor, central Spain

Evening folks, Can't remember what I had this down as and no books to hand, so this seemed the quickest way to get an ID. Somewhere in Extremadura if memory serves, in mid to late June. Thanks in advance!

    Mysterious bird

Owl thing. This doesn't seem real to me, but, I can't rule it out for some reason. If it is, what is it!? Thanks in advance.

    Unknown Warbler - Spain

Hello, this was in Spain in Castilla-y-Leon around the 22nd June. I don't have any idea how to seperate Subalpine/Spectacled based on this picture, and that's what I presume it is. Sadly the photos are the only clue I have, as it was a very brief encounter. The rest all leave the subject...

    Little Gull? Mid-Wales.

Found this gull today at a coastal site not far from Aberystwyth. Distinctly smaller than the rest of the gulls - all Black-headed. Just want to confirm my I.D. as it's a new species for me. Thanks in advance.

    Phylloscopus sp. UK

In mid Wales this afternoon. Presumed Chiffchaff, but images appear to show 'some' signs of Willow Warbler. Anything conclusive in these images? Refused to make any noise unfortunately for me, and it was raining, so I just handheld snapped a few pictures and came back indoors. Thanks in...

    Wales: Red-breasted Flycatcher Question

Can anyone tell me the likelyhood of one turning up in mid-Wales at this time of year? I presume very low, but feel I ought to check. Any information appreciated. Thanks in advance, David

What super zoom!? (Manual focus ring)

Hello all, I've been considering a dslr for a while now, and whilst I'd love to go down that route, I simply can't imagine myself lugging one around on most trips, or being able to afford the equipment I desire, so instead I've been looking at super zooms. One problem I have with this option...

    Ile de Ré in April

Hello, I'll be staying on the Ile de Ré in the first two weeks of April with my family, and I'm hoping to do a lot of birding. Thus far I've only managed to find a couple of blog posts with personal lists for the area, but at the wrong time of the year! Are there any localised books available...
