    Semi-P Sandpiper? SW Scotland

    Found this bird at high tide this evening at The Wig, Loch Ryan among Dunlin & Ringed Plover. Wasn't 100% sure while watching it but having reviewed my images it obviously has webbing between toes. Am I right in thinking its a Semi-P Sandpiper? (rather than Western...) Gavin

    Yellow-legged Gull? Strathclyde Loch, Scotland

    Found this gull today at Strathclyde Loch, which was obviously darker than the Herring Gulls and lighter than the LBBG's around and had yellow legs. Im assuming it to be a sub-adult Yellow-legged Gull? Any comments greatly appreciated! Gavin

    Gull Hybrid? Glasgow, UK

    L. a Argentatus? D&G, UK

    Saw this gull on the 28/29th Dec 2010 at Loch Ryan, but haven't been able to sort a definate ID. The dark mantle made me think a scandinavian bird but then seeing the lack of white in primaries got me confused. Could it be a sub-adult (4th winter?) or a dark argenteus? Any comments greatly...

    Blue-winged Teal? at Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway, UK.

    My brother (Alyn) has now found another interesting bird at Wigtown, in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. He and I believe its a Blue winged Teal given the white loral spot, split eye-ring and long looking bill. Any thoughts would be gratefully recieved.
