    Unknown Duck (or is it a goose?)

    Whilst at Martins Mere last week I saw this species for the first time. What fascinated me was the way that it puffed up its chest and almost hid its neck in its feathers. I'd be interested to learn the name of the species.:t::t::t:

    Switzerland / Identification of Waders

    The estuary of the Rhine, where it flows into Lake Constance, is alive at this time of the year. Within the space of a few minutes I shot 6 different species. Unfortunately I'm not a specialist. Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions on the identification of these species.

    I have great difficulty in differentiating between willow tits and marsh tits. Would appreciate all tips on how to tell the difference between these two species. The attached photos have been taken on the Rhine Delta at the eastern end of Lake Constance in Switzerland.

    Tern ID / West Coast of Ireland

    For the first time I've seen a tern on the west coast of Ireland. It was diving in one of the tidal creeks. Since the beak is black with a small yellow tip I wonder whether it can be a Roseate Tern. Thanks in advance for all feedback and advice. Best regards, Ken
