    Suburbia birding

    Our garden is very lively with about 15 siskins and 6 lesser redpolls, we expect their numbers to build up now. We also have lots of goldfinches and blue, coal and great tits.     Is scope necessary for pelagic trip

    My son and I are going on a minicruise in a few weeks with P&O/BDRP to Bilbao to watch whales, dolphins and of course seabirds, have never done this before and do not know whether its worth taking my scope, perhaps binoculars are sufficient?
