8x40 Trinovids (retro): stiff focusing
My brand new 8x40s have a rather hard to adjust focus. It is still easy to do with my right index finger but noticeably stiffer than I would like. All my other binos are easier to focus than this. Admittedly my Noctovids are “silky smooth” but these Retrovids are much harder and I don’t expect... -

Passport Warranty - what are the rules?
It seems that Leica says we don't need to register our binoculars to get the 10 yr Passport Warranty. Is that correct? Comments please on 8x40 Trinovids, AKA "Retrovids"
I have on order a pair of Leica 8x40 Trinovid binoculars. These are the so-called "retro" version with leather and old styling. Online reviews say they are top quality and excellent optically. Does anyone have these and do you recommend them? I gather they aren't like some of the other Leica... -
